The 2012 New England Boat Show wrapped up Sunday evening, the booths and boats have been packed up and shipped home, and we're ready to renew our focus on Spring. The boat show was a great success from a number of standpoints this year. Hunter Marine's new "e33" received high marks from those who boarded, in a similar manner to the praise she received in Newport last Fall. If you haven't seen, but would like to see, the new e33, we can give you a tour of the sold boat at our facility in Bristol.
The Winter boat-show circuit is officially history, which means it's time to focus on Spring commissioning and the 2012 boating season. With absolutely no snow on the ground (knock on wood), we'll undoubtedly experience an early hit with commissioning this year. If you are thinking about a new or pre-owned boat purchase and want to be sailing by Memorial Day, start looking now! Most boat yards are quiet right now, but they'll be flat out with commissioning requests before long. In late-April, we'll be hosting the 2nd Annual Rhode Island Boat Show. We're introducing a new concept, which challenges the traditional boat show model. This year, there will be FOUR locations throughout Rhode Island, all of which will be hosting an in-water and land-based boat show. Single-location events require you to visit the boats. The multiple-location Rhode Island Boat Show is bringing boats to YOU! Regardless of your location in RI, there will be a Rhode Island Boat Show location close to you!
